Since joining Cake & Arrow in 2015, Kate has led major initiatives to redefine user experience, drive customer engagement, and differentiate insurance brands in a crowded market. Her team has worked with global insurers and high-growth startups to launch new products, unlock market segments, and create emotionally resonant digital journeys that put the customer first. As Head of Strategy, she oversees product, brand, content, and experience strategy with a keen eye on behavioral research, competitive positioning, and business alignment.
Before Cake & Arrow, Kate held multiple senior roles in digital content and interaction design at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where she led the evolution of digital storytelling and branded content strategy. She also brings a strong academic foundation, having taught interaction design and service design at institutions including the School of Visual Arts and Pratt Institute.
Kate holds a Master of Design in Communication Planning and Information Design from Carnegie Mellon University and an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School. Her rare combination of storytelling, systems thinking, and user research makes her a strategic force behind some of the industry’s most thoughtful customer experiences.
