Marc Glickman is the CEO and Founder of BuddyIns. BuddyIns is a tech-enabled brokerage general agency focused on long-term care insurance. It provides long-term care and hybrid solutions and technology to agents, employers, and carriers. Its mission is to honor family caregivers and improve long-term care planning. It is licensed to sell insurance in all 50 states and DC. Marc spoke at a past InsurTechNY event.
Marc founded BuddyIns in 2019. The company operates as the long-term care division of many national insurance firms. It supports agents, brokers, employers, and associations with products and technology. Marc built it around an “abundance mentality,” sharing its technology even with competitors.
Marc has an unusual background for a brokerage founder. He spent the first 15 years of his career as an actuary. In that role, he became an expert across all facets of long-term care insurance. His expertise spans product development, underwriting, and claims.
Marc is active across the insurance community. He is an advisory board member for the Life, Health, and Benefits track at InsureTech Connect. He is also an official partner and speaker at senior health and wealth conferences. In 2019, NAILBA recognized him among its inaugural class of innovation award winners.
Marc earned a degree from Yale University. He studied economics, game theory, and actuarial science. He was also a competitive bridge player, representing Team USA.
